Wilson's Wood-nymph

Final instar has 4 pairs of flattened spatulate tentacles at anterior end and 1 pair on anal "hump". Two of the first four pair lie on the first thoracic segment just behind the head cap. Larvae attain approximately 2 inches in length. They will raise and curl up their head section when disturbed and often drop from host plant.

It appears that larvae can easily break off one or more filaments by the time they mature.
