Larvae

Wilson's Wood Nymph

I found many larvae on Cissus trifoliata growing on an abandoned shed on the Comal/Hays county line (Texas) in late April. Final instars were black as in photo and of a greasy sheen and feel, but earlier ones had a light base color and resembled photos I've seen of the 8 Spotted Forester moth. I reared these cats to adults and noticed fresh adults at lights on into October of this year.
